247 - The Chamber of Deputies plenary approved, this Thursday (20), five draft legislative decrees dealing with international agreements.
The proposals, which cover topics such as legal cooperation, military medicine, and the Mercosur budget, will now go to the Senate for analysis. In addition, the deputies approved the urgency for Complementary Law Project (PLP) 167/24, which aims to support exports from micro and small enterprises (MSEs).
The projects approved by the Chamber include:
- PDC 64/15Regarding Brazil's participation in the International Committee of Military Medicine, which promotes cooperation between countries on health issues related to the armed forces.
- PDL 334/21Reported by Congressman Paulo Abi-Ackel (PSDB-MG), it concerns a mutual legal assistance agreement in criminal matters with Kazakhstan, facilitating cooperation in criminal investigations.
- PDL 553/21Reported by Representative Laura Carneiro (PSD-RJ), it establishes an agreement for legal assistance in civil matters with Ukraine, strengthening collaboration in cases such as divorces, child custody, and inheritances.
- PDL 931/21: Adjusts the agreement with Argentina on mutual assistance in border cities, aiming to improve cooperation in areas such as security, health, and infrastructure.
- PDL 162/22It creates the institutional budget for Mercosur, defining the financial guidelines for the economic bloc.
Priority for export support - In addition to international agreements, the deputies approved the urgency for the PLP 167/24This is a project from the Executive Branch that seeks to support exports from micro and small businesses. The text, which could be analyzed by the Plenary as early as next week, was highlighted by the Vice-President of the Republic and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Geraldo Alckmin, who requested expedited processing.
The project aims to facilitate access for SMEs to the international market by reducing bureaucratic barriers and offering incentives so that these companies can compete globally.
