247 - The search for the two fugitives from the Mossoró Federal Penitentiary (RN) enters its third day this Friday (16). In total, more than 300 security agents have been working since Wednesday (14) to capture them. According to reports from G1, The following are involved: 100 Federal Police agents; 100 Federal Highway Police agents; 100 agents from local police forces (civil and military); 3 helicopters (1 from the Federal Highway Police, 1 from the Federal Police, and 1 from the Public Security Secretariat of Rio Grande do Norte); Drones (with thermal equipment) and sniffer dogs.

The agents will depart from Brasília on a PF aircraft. The sending of the groups was defined by the police leadership in agreement with the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Ricardo Lewandowski, on Thursday (15).

The escape of the Comando Vermelho members was the first recorded escape from a federal prison in history.
