"Brazil has no room for fascists, Nazis, and those who dislike democracy," says Lula.

"Every person who participated in the coup of January 8th will be judged, will have the right to the presumption of innocence, which I did not have, but we will not fail to judge coup plotters," said Lula.

Reuters President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated on Wednesday that there is no room for fascists or Nazis in Brazil, once again citing the importance of prosecuting those who attacked the headquarters of the Three Branches of Government in early January.

"Every person who participated in the coup of January 8th will be judged, will have the right to the presumption of innocence, which I did not have, but we will not fail to judge coup plotters because in this country there is no room for fascists, Nazis, and those who dislike democracy," said Lula in a speech during the launch ceremony of the participatory Multi-Year Plan (PPA) in Brasília.

The president emphasized that true democracy requires the State to constantly become more open and permeable to society, and this involves a more participatory construction of the Multi-Year Plan.
