Brazil and Russia agree on a contract for the supply of natural uranium.
The Russian state-owned company Rosatom announced the signing of a contract to supply natural uranium to Indústrias Nucleares do Brasil.
Sputnik Brazil - Russia and Brazil have signed a new contract for the supply of natural uranium, the Russian state-owned company Rosatom reported on Thursday (4).
"We continue to develop cooperation with the Brazilian company INB [Indústrias Nucleares do Brasil] in the supply of uranium products," said Kirill Komarov, Deputy Director General of Rosatom's International Business and Development Unit, during the signing of the contract.
"Last year, we won an international tender and signed a contract to provide uranium enrichment services," Komarov recalled.
Rosatom emphasized that it will continue its cooperation with INB in the supply of uranium products.
In December 2022 an agreement was signed which provides for the marketing of Russian uranium for Brazilian plants from 2023 to 2027.
