The country dropped 10 positions and is now ranked 126th out of 163 nations assessed by the Global Peace Index. In addition to violent deaths and armed conflicts, another factor influencing the result was the increase in political violence.

Forum - The IEP (Institute for Economics and Peace, based in Australia), published this Wednesday (10), the 2020 edition of its Global Peace Index, which had as one of the main changes the significant drop in Brazil.

After 17 months of Jair Bolsonaro's government, the country fell ten positions and settled in 126th place among the 163 countries evaluated in the ranking. The result consolidates Brazil as one of the countries in the world most affected by violence in its daily life.
