Boulos: This PSL is a real mess.

"After Flávio's 'oranges,' now Marcelo's. This PSL is a real mess," stated the national coordinator of the MTST, Guilherme Boulos, after the news that the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio (PSL), who was elected federal deputy in the October election, sponsored a scheme of sham candidacies in the state to divert funds.

247 - The national coordinator of the Homeless Workers' Movement (MTST), Guilherme Boulos, criticized the PSL party after news broke that the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio (PSL), who was elected federal deputy in the October election, sponsored a scheme of sham candidacies in the state that directed public campaign funds to companies linked to his office in the Chamber of Deputies.

"After Flávio's front candidates, now Marcelo's front candidates. This PSL is a real front company," the activist wrote on Twitter. "Welcome to the 'New Politics': Bolsonaro's minister and former president of PSL/MG, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, created front candidates to divert resources in the election, transferring R$279 to pay advisors' companies. It's the second scandal in 1 month of government!", he added.

According to the report by journalists Ranier Bragon and Camila Mattoso"Following a recommendation from the PSL of Minas Gerais, then presided over by Álvaro Antônio himself, the national leadership of President Jair Bolsonaro's party transferred R$ 279 to four female candidates. This amount represents the minimum percentage required by the Electoral Court (30%) for the allocation of electoral funds to female candidates."

When mentioning Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PSL-RJ), the MTST leader referred to the atypical financial transactions of R$ 1,2 million made over a year by Fabrício Queiroz, the senator's former aide. This amount was identified by the Council for the Control of Financial Activities (COAF). The agency also verified that, between June and July 2017, 48 cash deposits totaling R$ 96 were made into the senator's account. In this last case, the content of the document was released by Jornal Nacional.
