The meeting took place a few days after former Justice Minister Sergio Moro resigned from his post and accused Jair Bolsonaro of trying to interfere in Federal Police investigations.

Minister Felix Fischer, of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), denied the senator's appeal to revoke the breach of tax and banking secrecy, stating that the breach was authorized "in duly substantiated judicial decisions" and also "based on strong evidence of the materiality and authorship of crimes."
