Bolsonaro reacts with irritation to Mandetta's interview on Fantástico: "I don't watch Globo"

247 - Jair Bolsonaro stated this Monday (13) that he "does not watch Globo" after being questioned about the interview of the Minister of Health, Luiz Henrique Mandetta, on the program "Fantástico". Brazil has at least 22,3 cases and 1.241 deaths caused by the disease.

Mandetta reiterated his support for social isolation. "The president is also looking at the economic side," he said, referring to Bolsonaro's argument that isolation worsens unemployment.

"The Ministry of Health understands the economy, understands the culture, but calls for balance and the protection of life. I hope that this validation of the different models for dealing with this situation can be common and that there can be a unified message."

Bolsonaro has previously described the coronavirus as a "little flu" and has repeatedly violated recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), which calls for social isolation to reduce the spread of the disease.
