Bolsonaro asks supporters to invade and film field hospitals.
In a weekly live broadcast on social media, Jair Bolsonaro, who has boycotted isolation measures since the beginning of the pandemic, said that the government did "everything" that was possible and suggested that the hospitals would be empty. "If there's a field hospital near you, find a way to get in and film it," he stated.
Forum Magazine - During a presidential live broadcast held this Thursday (11), President Jair Bolsonaro stated that there could be a “political use” of the coronavirus pandemic data and asked his supporters to enter field hospitals to film the facilities.
The president, who opposed social isolation, said that the Federal Government did "everything" possible to contain the spread of the disease and suggested that hospitals would be empty. According to him, nobody died due to a lack of beds in the country.
“From the beginning, there was talk about flattening the curve, that isolation had to happen so that there wouldn't be a shortage of hospital beds. The information we have is that, in total or in large part, nobody lost their life due to a lack of ventilators or ICU beds. Now, if there's a field hospital near you, find a way to get in and film. Many people are doing this, and more people need to do it to show whether the beds are occupied or not,” he stated.
