Bolsonaro appoints 12 judges to the TRF-4 and one to the TRF-5.

The appointments were published in the Official Gazette of the Union, and among those appointed is Judge Luiz Antonio Bonat, of the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba.

Conjur - President Jair Bolsonaro appointed 12 new judges to the Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region, ten of whom come from the judiciary, one from the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, and one from the legal profession.

All nominations have already been published in the Official Gazette of the Union. In the legal profession, Ana Cristina Ferro Blasi was appointed. From the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, Bolsonaro nominated Ângelo Roberto Ilha da Silva.

Among those appointed to the judiciary is, for example, Judge Luiz Antonio Bonat, of the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba, who took over the "Lava Jato" cases after Sergio Moro's departure.

All 12 new members of the TRF-4 were on the shortlists of three candidates formed by the Court's Plenary and sent to the Presidency of the Republic in June of this year.

Bolsonaro also nominated prosecutor Cibele Benevides Guedes da Fonseca to fill a vacancy as a judge on the Federal Regional Court of the 5th Region, in the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office.
