Bolsonaro speaks of an 'institutional crisis' with the Supreme Court and attacks Alexandre de Moraes (video)

"If he (Moraes) doesn't take a position, he's opening the door for me to appoint Ramagem regardless of his injunction," stated Jair Bolsonaro, who accused Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes of making a "political" decision by vetoing Alexandre Ramagem's appointment as director-general of the Federal Police.

247 - Jair Bolsonaro accused Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes on Thursday (30) of making a "political" decision when he vetoed the appointment of Alexandre Ramagem as director-general of the Federal Police. According to Bolsonaro, the decision "almost" created an "institutional crisis" between the Planalto Palace and the Court.

"This decision by Mr. Alexandre de Moraes yesterday, in my opinion, lacks a complement to show that it's not something personally directed at Mr. Jair Bolsonaro. He still needs to decide whether or not Ramagem can continue at ABIN (Brazilian Intelligence Agency). That's what I expect from him," he said in front of the Alvorada Palace, before boarding a plane to Porto Alegre, where he will participate in an Army ceremony. "If he (Moraes) doesn't take a position, he's opening the door for me to appoint Ramagem regardless of his injunction. That's what we don't want. We want mutual respect between the branches of government," he added.
