247 - Senator Rogério Marinho (PL-RN) stated this Wednesday (4) that Jair Bolsonaro (PL) reacted calmly to the process underway in the Military Justice system, which could result in the loss of his rank as a retired Army captain. According to the parliamentarian, the issue does not occupy a central position in the former president's concerns, who sees the trial as a secondary episode within a broader political and legal scenario.

According to Marinho, as reported by the newspaper. The GlobeBolsonaro does not treat the case as a priority and believes that the initiative is part of a set of measures that, in his view, would be disproportionate.

“The president is calm about what is happening. It’s just another episode within a larger process,” stated Rogério Marinho, describing Bolsonaro’s perception of the case’s progress. The senator also said that the former president remains serene about the outcome and shows no apprehension about the possibility of losing his patent.

The case is progressing in the Military Court.

The action began after the Military Public Prosecutor's Office presented, this Tuesday (3), a representation that could lead to a declaration of unworthiness or incompatibility for the officer corps. If the measure is accepted, the result is the loss of the military rank and patent. The analysis is the responsibility of the Superior Military Court (STM), the body responsible for judging procedures of this nature involving reserve military personnel.

According to Marinho, Bolsonaro considers the process a side issue when compared to other ongoing legal and political disputes. The senator believes the former president understands that the case does not substantially alter his actions in the public sphere.

PL's electoral strategies

In addition to commenting on Bolsonaro's situation in the Military Court, Rogério Marinho addressed the electoral landscape of the Liberal Party. Coordinator of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro's (PL-RJ) pre-campaign for the presidency, Marinho stated that the party's project is progressing well and has strong alliances in different states.

"Negotiations are underway in several states. There is negotiation, compromise, but without losing our essence. The project is moving forward," he declared. According to him, the party is working to structure regional platforms and launch majoritarian candidacies, for governor or senator, in all units of the federation.

Marinho also stated that Bolsonaro participates in strategic discussions and follows the definition of alliances and campaign discourse, focusing on defending what the political group calls the legacy of the former president.

Tarcísio de Freitas' role in the party project.

When questioned about Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos), the senator highlighted the importance of the São Paulo governor's support for the PL's electoral project. He emphasized the relationship of trust between the two and assessed that the governor's engagement will be decisive in the country's largest electoral college.

“Tarcísio is a loyal, upright man, an extraordinary manager. I have no doubt that his commitment will be real and decisive in winning the elections in São Paulo,” said Marinho. Although Tarcísio has positioned himself as a candidate for re-election, his name continues to be mentioned in political debates and by sectors of the market.
