247 Members of Jair Bolsonaro's government are considering sending the Minister of Education, Abraham Weintraub, to a position at the World Bank, or an equivalent post. The head of the Ministry of Education could also go to a diplomatic mission or return to São Paulo and run for mayor or city councilor. However, Bolsonaro's party, Aliança do Brasil, failed to gather enough signatures to participate in the election.

The minister has been losing ground since May, when a recording of Bolsonaro's ministerial meeting was released in which he, Weintraub himself, called the ministers of the Supreme Federal Court "bandits." Over the weekend, the head of the Ministry of Education attended a demonstration by Bolsonaro supporters in Brasília (DF) and said that he had already expressed his opinion on what to do with the "bandits."
