247 - Due to the negative reaction to a video about a meeting between government members on April 22, Jair Bolsonaro announced the end of ministerial meetings. He did not allow the recording of Tuesday's meeting (12) and said that meetings will now be individual.

Once a month, after the ceremony of raising the National Flag in front of the Alvorada Palace, Bolsonaro said he will hold "a monthly get-together of ministers," referring to the breakfast with his team.

Bolsonaro also stated that, as far as he's concerned, the video of the meeting on the 22nd can be released, but only the part that is the subject of the legal proceedings. In the meeting, he allegedly told the then Minister of Justice and Public Security, Sérgio Moro, that changing the superintendent of the Federal Police in Rio de Janeiro was necessary to protect his sons from potential investigations.

Regarding the meeting, Bolsonaro said that, as far as he's concerned, the video can be released, but only the part that is the subject of the lawsuit. "Taking advantage of your suggestion, I'll ask the Attorney General, Minister [José] Levi, if we can release that part. If I'm not mistaken, Celso de Mello [Supreme Court Justice] yesterday sent an official letter to Moro's lawyer, the Attorney General's Office, and the Justice Department precisely to see if we can go down that road and release it, even with the profanity I always use," he added.

According to Bolsonaro, his Minister of the Government Secretariat, General Luiz Eduardo Ramos, "was mistaken" when he said that the Federal Police were mentioned at the meeting on April 22. Ramos and the Minister of the Institutional Security Cabinet (GSI), General Augusto Heleno, testified on Tuesday (12) and stated that Bolsonaro mentioned the name of the Federal Police when demanding intelligence reports.

"Ramos was mistaken. But since it's a meeting, I have the video. If Ramos said that, he was mistaken," he stated.

Bolsonaro's alleged attempts to influence the Federal Police gained national attention on April 24th, when Sérgio Moro left the government after his then-boss dismissed Mauricio Valeixo from the General Directorate of the corporation. In a press conference that day, the former judge pointed out... liability crime from Bolsonaro.

"The president told me that he wanted to have a personal appointee to obtain personal information. And that's not the function of the Federal Police," he denounced.
