Among them was actor and model Diego Raymond, a former drug trafficker known as "Mister M" who was rehabilitated twelve years ago. Following the reaction on social media, supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) began circulating photos of the young man in character for the Globoplay original series "A Divisão," accusing him of being a criminal. This information comes from... newspaper The globe.

The terms "Lula Mister M", "Lula drug trafficker", "Lula drug trafficker Mister M" and 14 other variations referring to the actor saw an increase of over 5000% in searches, according to the Google Trends tool.

In response to the attacks, Diego Raymond also took to social media to express his outrage. In a post, he recalled that he was acquitted of all charges and managed to succeed in life despite the difficulties. However, he still suffers from the racism of the "daily struggle of black and poor people."

"My vote is for Lula against these despicable people, against those who criminalize poverty. So that we can walk with our heads held high in the streets knowing that the poor and black people are treated as equals and that the stories of children in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro will be different," he stated.
