Bolsonaro supporters abandon Lula's impeachment and the agenda for the rally will be amnesty for the 8/1 coup plotters.

247 - Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his allies have defined the slogan "Out with Lula 2026, amnesty now" as the main message for the acts scheduled for March 16th. Thus, according to the column... Dashboard, Folha de S. PaulThey are ruling out the defense of impeaching Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), betting on the idea that the PT member, by remaining in office, will end up politically weakened and will arrive at the 2026 elections in a fragile state. The strategy is that, with a weakened Lula, the political scenario will favor other candidates.

This stance diverges from that of other members of the right wing, such as the Bolsonaro-supporting federal deputies Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), who explicitly advocate for Lula's removal from office and have called on their supporters to protest for this purpose. Meanwhile, Bolsonaro focuses his mobilization on seeking an "immediate amnesty" for those involved in the coup attempts of January 8th, highlighting this issue in events scheduled for various Brazilian cities.

According to the report, in a show of his disapproval of the demonstration organized on Avenida Paulista, which features Zambelli as one of its leading figures, Bolsonaro is expected to choose to participate in a protest in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. This event is being organized by Pastor Silas Malafaia and aims to attract a different audience than the one at the São Paulo demonstration.
