247 - Based on information published by Monica Bergamo, from Folha de S. Paulo, that the president Lula (PT) will be invited to participate in the March for Jesus.Theologian Leonardo Boff stated on Twitter this Tuesday (28) that the president should not participate in the event.

"I am of the opinion that President Lula should not participate in the March for Jesus. The Jesus of these evangelicals is not the Jesus of the Gospels, a friend of the poor, who was always on the side of life and truth, something that these 'marchers' are not. Their Jesus is closer to Herod," he declared.

According to Apostle Estevam Hernandes, the organizer of the March, the invitations are still being printed and have not yet been officially sent out. It is customary to invite the heads of the municipal, state, and federal executive branches.

In 2009, Lula signed the law that established the National Day of the March for Jesus.
