The pro-gun lobby says it is disappointed with Bolsonaro.
Members of the pro-gun lobby say they are "disappointed" with Jair Bolsonaro's government, following the announcement of Sergio Moro's departure from the government.
247 - The political maneuvering following the death of Sergio Moro from Jair Bolsonaro's government is intensifying. According to journalist Mônica Bergamo, members of the Parliamentary Front for Public Security have asked Congressman Capitão Augusto (PL-SP), the group's leader, to withdraw support from the so-called "bullet caucus," which is so loyal to the government.
"It's a huge loss to lose a base like that, given the level of discontent and disappointment with Moro's departure," says the congressman, who is waiting for a statement from all members to ensure there is a majority in favor of his departure.
Following the confirmation of Moro's departure, the parliamentary group issued a statement expressing concern about "President Jair Bolsonaro's intransigent stance, which has led him to lose one of his great allies in the fight for a more just and honest Brazil."
