Argentina is battling locusts and reducing a swarm approaching Brazil and Uruguay.

According to the Argentine Rural Confederation (CRA), the spraying of insecticides carried out last Friday (26) reduced the number of insects in the cloud by 15%.

247 - Argentina's efforts to control the locust swarm have proven successful and could benefit Brazil and Uruguay, potential next targets of the insect swarm.

A spraying of insecticides carried out last Friday (26) reduced the number of insects in the cloud by 15%, according to the Argentine Rural Confederation (CRA), which works together with the National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa).

The insects are currently in the province of Corrientes, and 100 km from Brazilian and Uruguayan territory.
