247 - The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) is expected to decide this Friday (28) on whether to authorize the use of self-tests for the detection of Covid-19 in Brazil.

The original request for the release of self-tests was made on the 14th, when the ministry argued that the procedure would be a complementary strategy to the National Testing Expansion Plan.

At the time, the agency's board determined that the report submitted by the ministry did not meet the requirements inherent to a public policy.

On Tuesday (28)  Anvisa determined that Collection of the COVID-19 self-test - the myDNA PCR-LAMP Saliva Self-Collection, from the company Empreendimentos Pague Menos S/A.
