Bureaucracy: The Invisible Invasion In the book, Bivar recalls his time as a federal deputy. "I fought against the rhetoric and fallacies of human rights advocates when I proposed the legalization of abortion and the introduction of the death penalty for crimes of kidnapping followed by death."
During his 2006 presidential campaign, he called for a plebiscite on same-sex marriage and defended the Bolsa Família program.
Bivar requested the elimination of the tax paid on those who own properties on Navy land. "The costs to the Union of collecting this tax do not justify its continuation," he stated to readers. Bivar's press office responded that "today, (Bivar's) positions are being developed in conjunction with all the factions that make up the PSL."
Another current ally, lawyer Janaina Paschoal, also took a stand against Bolsonaro last year. The impeachment lawyer Janaina Paschoal criticized the PSL candidate on Twitter last November, stating that she didn't like the congressman's "tone" and that he "should be more careful about his speech." "I'm worried about this," she said.
Speaking to Estadão, Janaina stated that she doesn't see these tweets as criticism, "but as advice" to the congressman. "They are in line with what I said at the convention. And, from what I've observed, he is taking care of these things," she affirmed.
The president of the PSL party, Gustavo Bebianno, said that Janaina's opinions are those of a "strong woman" and that she can "add value" to the ticket.
Bolsonaro and Janaina meet this Monday (30) in São Paulo to finalize her position as vice on the ticket.
