Military figures are already talking about intervening in the Bolsonaro government with a "ministry of notables," a solution that didn't save Collor.

Military figures in the Bolsonaro government are already discussing the need to form a "ministry of notables." This solution was attempted by Fernando Collor, but it did not save his government in 1992.

247 - The failure of the Bolsonaro government and the rapidly deteriorating image due to successive conflicts with other branches of power and scandals involving him and his family are leading the military to discuss the formation of a "ministry of notables." A similar attempt was made in 1992 to save the Fernando Collor government, but it was not enough to prevent its downfall.

The generals who occupy the most important posts in the Presidential Palace are speculating about names that could be elevated to the top tier of the government with political support in the National Congress, in a plan with a military flavor.

The military knows, however, that the main obstacle to carrying out such plans is Jair Bolsonaro, who wasn't even consulted about the idea.

The expectation of the generals in the presidential palace is to open a new window of opportunity to "reset" the government, according to the journalist. Igor Gielow from Folha de S.Paulo.

The problem is further complicated because the military is willing to defend Jair Bolsonaro in his clashes with the Judiciary, but is unwilling to maintain such support if even more embarrassing links are proven between the Bolsonaro clan and the former advisor, who is being investigated for his relationship with militias and irregularities.
