Dirceu's lawyer meets with Sergio Moro.
Roberto Podval reiterated to the Lava Jato judge that his client is available to provide clarifications to the Justice system; "I said that José Dirceu is at the disposal of the Justice system. It was a pleasant conversation, but we only discussed that. As for rumors of a possible arrest... rumors are rumors. The judge has no connection whatsoever with this matter," the criminal lawyer told the newspaper O Globo.
247 - Lawyer Roberto Podval, who defends former minister José Dirceu, met yesterday with Judge Sérgio Moro of the Lava Jato operation in Curitiba. He reiterated that his client is available to the Justice system to provide clarifications about the case.
"I went there to say that I was hired by José Dirceu, I know Judge Moro from other cases. And I said that José Dirceu is at the disposal of the Justice system. Yesterday he released a statement expressing his frustration regarding the rumors that Dirceu would be arrested.read here"I imagine that when I was born we lived through a similar period. The big difference is that under the dictatorship everyone knew the reasons! Here, no matter how hard I look, I can't find anything to justify the announced arrest," he said.
The criminal lawyer made an appeal to Sergio Moro: "Stay tough but not unjust! Remain legalistic and not a publicity-seeker! Do justice and don't seek revenge!"
