247 - "With Rodrigo Maia playing it cool, and the PSDB supporting him, what we're seeing is the institutionally organized condominium of the 2016 coup; it wasn't just for the Centrão, it was a boon for everyone. Goodbye impeachment," posted journalist Xico Sá on his Twitter. Learn more about the PSDB's support for Bolsonaro:

The PSDB, the party that led the coup against former President Dilma Rousseff, a process that resulted in the rise of a neo-fascist project in Brazil, will not support the impeachment of Jair Bolsonaro, who has encouraged the invasion of hospitals in Brazil. The decision was announced by the party's president, Bruno Araújo (PSDB-PE), who cast the deciding vote in the session that led to the coup against Dilma in the Chamber of Deputies.

"Impeachment is to exacerbate a crisis within perhaps the most serious health and economic crisis in our history," he said in an interview with Folha de S. Paulo. "The PSDB's path is opposition. The PSDB had the democratic patience to wait for the right time and give a democratically elected government the opportunity to establish itself and work. The PSDB was collaborative. The main reform of this government, the pension reform, was reported in the Chamber and the Senate by the PSDB," he says, signaling support for the economic agenda of Bolsonaro's supporters.
