247 - The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, stated this Friday (13), in Brasília (DF), that the "federal intervention was not an act against the corporations" of the Federal District, "but in support of them and the Justice system of the DF". "We hope that this intervention, as stated in the presidential decree, will be temporary and as brief as possible. The Union demands a second word: justice," he said while participating in the tribute to the security forces for the return to normalcy. "President Lula wants a country at peace. Peace does not mean bowing to a logic of anything goes. It does not mean accepting the law of the strongest."

The executive secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Ricardo Cappelli, participated in the event and said he has "confidence in the Military Police of the Federal District." The Supreme Federal Court (STF) ordered the arrest of former Justice Minister Anderson Torres, former Secretary of Security for the Federal District. The Court also removed Ibaneis Rocha from office (GDF).
Minister Flávio Dino stated this Friday that he will request Torres' extradition if he does not present himself to Brazilian authorities by Monday (16). The former secretary is in the United States, where he traveled for vacation.
