While awaiting a tribute in the Chamber of Deputies, Father Júlio Lancelotti remains the target of a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission.

The ceremony, approved almost a year ago, includes a "silver salute" for the Pastoral Care for the Homeless, led by the religious leader.

247 - Father Júlio Lancelotti, a possible target of a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) in the São Paulo City Council, awaits an honor from the Legislative Assembly. The ceremony was approved almost a year ago, in a decree that provides for a tribute in the form of a "silver plaque" for the Pastoral Povo da Rua (Pastoral Care for the Homeless), led by the priest.

However, as reported by MetropolisFor Father Júlio to receive the honor, it is necessary for the president of the São Paulo City Council, councilman Milton Leite (União), to schedule the solemn session, something that did not happen throughout last year.

Although the proposal was symbolically approved in the City Council plenary session, it did not achieve unanimity. Eight councilors, representing parties such as PSDB, PP, MDB, União Brasil, and Republicanos, voted against the decision.
