Photography Contest is part of the World Cleanup Day program

Brazil Agency - Registration is now open for the Clean Brazil 2025 Photography Contest, an initiative that combines art, social engagement, and environmental education. The contest, sponsored by Transpetro, is part of the World Cleanup Day program on the 20th of this month.

Each participant may submit a single, unpublished photograph, taken between September 16th and 22nd, during official World Cleanup Day events. The images must show individual or collective initiatives for environmental preservation, cleanup campaigns, or the impacts caused by improper waste disposal.

 The 15 finalist photographs will be chosen by a technical jury and by popular vote. They will receive international recognition and be exhibited at the 30th UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Pará, from November 10 to 21. The winners will receive prizes such as laptops, cell phones, and tablets.

“The project also includes holding lectures online "And workshops open to contest participants, focused on environmental education and social participation. In parallel, ten in-person lectures will be held in public schools located in areas of social vulnerability," informs Edilainne Muniz, executive director of the Clean Brazil Institute.
