"Everything sordid melts into air" – 200 years of Independence – Lula there!

The struggle continues... and it is a class struggle. The philosopher Karl Marx was wise when he said: "All that is sordid melts into air."

Being Brazilian, being patriotic, doesn't mean accepting poverty painted in the colors of the nation. Poverty colored with the colors of the homeland doesn't make you, my dear compatriots, happier men and women. In fact, our country is ranked among the happiest countries in the world: thirty-eighth position. This, besides being sad, also reflects a unique state of inequality.

Two hundred years of "Independence or Death!" does not bring wealth to the people, who still suffer from 33 million hunger. True and fundamental freedom is achieved through free will, but not through... free-will Washed in the basin of alienation; since in this way, it transforms into monitored freedom. Being independent cannot be just a term; being independent means having a decent salary, being democratic, defending human rights; and above all, not bowing down to the archaic and "continuist" colonial power. For now, the episode on the banks of the Ipiranga River is a caricature; we will only be "free" when there is income distribution with parity.
