Trump, banal evil and radical evil

Trump is the new old incarnation of state evil, imperial evil, patriarchal evil, neoliberal evil, racist evil, just xenophobic evil. His rise to power is an expression of banal evil, the kind anyone practices without considering the consequences, the kind people become accustomed to. The vote, which was supposed to be an act of intelligence, has become banal evil within everyone's reach. Trump counts on the banal evil of everyone – including the suckers who voted for him before being expelled from the US – as his legionary partners, the white, billionaire beasts who help him in the declared task of destroying the world, which has been the Nazi-fascist plan for over 100 years. 

In this case, banal evil gives way to malignant evil, the choice to do evil destroying the possibility of doing good and, thus, freedom. Freedom has been an important subject for thinkers concerned with the destinies of humanity. Freedom: what is it, what is it for, who is it intended for? 

Humanity is a dream of the past. Trump has been declaring war on the world since his misrule began. He seems hallucinating, delirious, but he's just a fascist who knows what he's doing: sowing chaos and leading to the destruction and death of everyone. He's a technologically enhanced Nazi-fascist, playing the role of the extreme macho who expels, threatens, and carries out the promised horror. 

The authoritarian leader's favorite words: pressure, sanction, retaliation, expulsion. “Hitleramp” needs to be stopped, like all others in the same vein. In Brazil, we already had a sad experience, resulting in over 700 deaths in the pandemic. But there are several other would-be Hitlers, and the evil plan is to win. Extreme caution is necessary. Democracy will have to defend itself. 

Let's see if the states are competent. If the institutions will know how to navigate the situation. If the democratic part of the population will have the strength. The targeted minorities – immigrants and the LGBTQIA+ population – are grateful. It's not easy for anyone facing a resurrected Hitler, this avatar as grotesque and ridiculous as the old German example. Trump needs to be overthrown, as well as his international partners and counterparts. 

To ensure he never returns, we must evolve towards an eco-social feminist government. There is only a future with a feminist government.
