The change in Lula's inner circle shouldn't influence the PT leadership election.
Gleisi's succession as leader of the PT is expected to take place in July.
The likely replacement at the General Secretariat of the Presidency, where Márcio Macêdo is expected to leave and Gleisi Hoffmann will take over, should not anticipate the change in leadership of the PT (Workers' Party), a position currently held by Gleisi. The assessment of PT members close to the president is that Lula does intend to accommodate his ally in a cabinet ministry, which does not mean that the choice of the new PT president will take place before July, the date stipulated in the party's statutes.
