"Temer supporter," the worst campaign manager for Marx, Quintella, and Biu.
Staunch allies of President Michel Temer (PMDB), federal deputies and ministers Marx Beltrão (PMDB-AL), of Tourism, and Maurício Quintella (PR-AL), of Transport, as well as Senator Benedito de Lira (PP-AL), will have a huge headache in next year's elections.
If the current situation persists in 2018, Lira, who wants to renew his Senate mandate, and Marx, who aspires to occupy one of the two seats, will face immense difficulties, as polls already published in this space have shown, where both appear in the last places.
The problem – perhaps the biggest one – is that the trio's campaign manager is considered the worst in Brazil.
A survey conducted by the Paraná Research Institute, and published in Eliane Cantanhêde's column in Estadão, asked: "Can Temer still gain public approval and have the influence to help a candidate in 2018?" 79,3% said no; 11.3% said yes; 6,3% maybe; 3,1% don't know.
In other words, these numbers are consistent with the level of disapproval of the Temer government, which ranges from 70% to over 80%.
Therefore, it will be a golden opportunity for the marketing teams of Biu, Quintella, and Marx's competitors to link them, in a very negative way, to a government that is frankly rejected by the majority of Brazilians, which is the "Temer" government.
Simple as that.
Life goes on.
