Without leadership, 'Pinguela' sinks Brazil.

Like a sinking submarine overwhelmed by the sum of all crises – political, economic, legal, and ethical – Brazil is heading towards the bottom of the sea. What was promised as a solution has become a disastrous obstacle: President Michel Temer, "Pinguela," as former President FHC calls him, also nicknamed by others "a butler from a horror movie."

Like a sinking submarine overwhelmed by the sum of all crises – political, economic, legal, and ethical – Brazil is heading towards the bottom of the sea. What was promised as a solution has become a disastrous obstacle: President Michel Temer, "Pinguela," as former President FHC calls him, also dubbed by others as "a butler from a horror movie."

What's strange is that anyone could be surprised by the results of the Temer government. He was never a mayor or governor. He was never a statesman, much less a political leader. Therefore, he has been incapable of leading the country in this moment of intolerance and suspicion of those in power.

'Pinguela', the horror movie butler, is more of the same, only worse, unfortunately. He's one of those petty figures who can care about his friend and ally Geddel's apartment, but can't see the country's current situation beyond pleasing his wealthy partner from Bahia.

Unable to grasp that he lacks credibility, votes, and the ability to lead Brazil to understanding, he writes his name in history with a vice-president who betrayed over 50 million voters who placed their bets on a government program.

And for those who allowed him to reach the command of the nation through a legal artifice, he also fails to deliver on his promises. After all, 'Pinguela, the butler,' belongs to a lower sphere of politics: the cowardly and dubious underworld of deals and the exchange of favors.

And so a nation marches on. Without a statesman, without even a political leader capable of making themselves heard and proposing solutions only possible through political credibility.

We are heading towards a dangerous division, a likely institutional conflict whose results are unpredictable and where anything can happen.

'Pinguela' could very well resign and call for elections. The only apparent way to restore the shattered credibility of the Constitution and try to reunify Brazil.

The problem is that after the tricks used to impeach Dilma, each group thinks it can do whatever it wants. This includes judges, right-wing extremists, prosecutors, and students.

The submarine continues to sink without stopping.
