What are you afraid of regarding Lula?
In an article addressing Minister Sergio Moro, Judge Carolina Lebbos, and the prosecutor who requested the police escort for former President Lula's release from prison, columnist Gilvandro Filho, from Jornalistas pela Democracia (Journalists for Democracy), asks: "What can I say to you, that group of judges who think that freedom is something that can be confined forever and without evidence?"; "It's no use trying to stop the people from speaking. Much less think that you will forever stop my dream," he writes.
By Gilvandro Filho, for the Journalists for Democracy - You, minister, who considers yourself above good and evil, depending on the case and the accused, have you never heard that WHEN A WALL SEPARATES, A BRIDGE UNITES?
You, prosecutor who thinks you have power over the life and death of others, will one day learn: IF REVENGE CONFRONTS, REMORSE PUNISHES.
You, judge who decides against the law, in an authoritarian manner, will end up hearing: YOU COME AND GRAB ME, SOMEONE COMES AND LETS ME GO.
And what about that group of judges who think that freedom is something that can be confined forever and without evidence? YOU GO BY FORCE AND ONE DAY IT WILL RETURN
Because not even all the police force can contain the power of reason. Especially since... IF THE FORCE IS YOURS, ONE DAY IT WILL BE OURS.
Watch out, young man!
Look at the wall, look at the bridge, look at yesterday arriving.
You are so brave, but... HOW AFRAID ARE YOU OF US!
LOOK AT THAT...
There's no point in trying to stop people from speaking. Know that if YOU CUT A VERSE, I'LL WRITE ANOTHER.

Don't think you can stop my dream forever. If you hold me alive and I escape dead...
Suddenly, look, it's me again. You know why? Because people have a good memory.
Increasingly free and yet still strong, DISTURBING THE PEACE, DEMANDING REVENGE.
Let's go, me and my dog, and my cat, and my saddled horse, and my dragon and my fighting strength.
Look at the verse, look at the other one, look at the old man, look at the young man arriving and arriving to stay. And for you to leave.
You're so full of yourself, but... HOW AFRAID ARE YOU OF US?
You think you're eternal, soon you'll hear that THE WALL HAS FALLEN. LOOK AT THE GUARDIAN BRIDGE OF FREEDOM.
For, more and more, THE ARM OF CHRIST THE HORIZON EMBRACES TOMORROW.
LOOK AT THAT...
* "NIGHTMARE," with music by Maurício Tapajós and lyrics (the part in capital letters) by Paulo César Pinheiro, was composed during a dictatorship, the military one. But, in today's dictatorship, characterized by a minuscule and partisan judiciary, it would fit like a glove.
