How many omissions are necessary for the emergence of a fascist state?

The disease of fascism has advanced, overcoming numerous defenses. It is necessary to combat this opportunistic infection immediately, before the Pus-filled Blob takes hold.

This Sunday (April 19th), President Lula declared on social media that "The same Constitution that allows a President to be democratically elected has mechanisms to prevent him from leading the country to the disintegration of democracy and a genocide of the population." The previous day, Saturday, the first PT plenary session, "In Defense of Life - Out with Bolsonaro and Mourão," had already taken place. Many speakers made it clear that the proposal is not superficial. When demanding "Out with Bolsonaro," it's a "get rid of everything" that led him to the presidential chair. In other words: eliminate all the sources of infection that generated the Pus-filled Bubble. It's worth citing the definition of pus: "a yellowish or greenish-yellow secretion, often foul-smelling, produced as a consequence of an extracellular bacterial infection process and consisting of white blood cells in the process of degeneration, blood, bacteria, proteins and organic elements..." (Wikipedia), etc... And even the color matches.

It's important to understand that a "Puss-filled Blister" is not an isolated phenomenon; when it appears, the infection is already present. This has become clear with the "death caravans," which advocate for the end of quarantine and democracy, calling for a military coup to annul the legislative and judicial branches. The division into three independent powers, let us remember, is the basis of the democratic system, a way to avoid the centralization of power that easily leads to abuse – to prevent us from reaching the point of "off with her head," like the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland...

The truth is that the spread of the infection in Brazilian society occurred through various abuses of power, acts of corruption (which even diverted brazilwood), manipulation of laws, violence at all levels, etc. And, before each of these acts, there were ways of thinking that caused them to emerge and multiply: the fever of legitimizing racism, exploitation, sexism, misogyny, prejudice against different sexual orientations, classism, against indigenous people, etc...

The infection of hatred and disrespect for life has spread through the many omissions of individuals and institutions in the face of all this. The path that led to the coup against Dilma Rousseff has become an open avenue of illegalities and abuses. To shout, in the middle of parliament, a tribute to a torturer—and get away with it unscathed!—was one of the greatest absurdities...

And so, from one absurd action to another, the culture of impunity has grown among those who consider themselves above the law, justice, and humanity. The disease of fascism has advanced, overcoming numerous defenses. It is necessary to combat this opportunistic infection immediately, before the Pus-Pot Blob takes hold.

The longer the remedy is delayed, the greater the chances that such moral distortions will lead to a fascist state. Every day, the segment of the population programmed by biased news from the mainstream media – which colluded with the coup and is still incapable of mea culpa – and by fake news received via WhatsApp and Facebook, becomes more alienated from reality. A hideous worldview is consolidated in these individuals, where hatred and aggression towards those who think differently are naturalized reactions, where the economy is weighed on the same scale as lives. Every minute they are more indoctrinated, they are already believers in a new sect, and each new omission from the progressive camp makes it more difficult to show them what they don't want to see, that is: anything and everything that deviates from the yellowish-green color of the pus in which they wallow...

Delaying #OutWithBolsonaro is like waiting for the bacteria, or virus, to decide to leave on its own. It's like remaining silent and condoning each and every act of violence that is happening more and more frequently. Meanwhile, hatred increases, ignorance becomes entrenched, and the quarantine remains dubious – as it is systematically bombarded by individual actions and hesitant or ineffective decisions on the part of the Government.

Of those among us who were outraged by the coup against a democratically elected President, many have already fallen, others continue to fall, depressed, ill, overcome by a paralysis that stiffens muscles and joints, or even already dead. We await the results of a poll that says victory is certain in order to begin to act, and we run the risk that, when that perfect moment arrives (if it ever does), we will no longer be able to move...

In the current scenario, acting with the 2022 elections in mind (another straitjacket the left imposes on itself) is like dreaming of a miracle. What are the chances that, by then, the mainstream media will have lifted its blockade against progressive forces? Or that the judiciary will redeem itself from the numerous decisions that disregard democracy and the constitution? Or that the already habitual abusers protected by the law will, of their own accord, stop committing abuses? Or that elections will actually take place!?

And today, what is even more urgent: What are the chances of preventing thousands of deaths triggered by the influence of the individual who occupies the most important position in the nation!? Will the left, which claims to be independent of religions, continue to dream of the future resurrection of a country on the brink of death, without being able to brandish a STOP!?

It seems that it's time to wake up. For my part, I can say that following the speeches in the plenary session made me feel alive again. And today I want to shout: WE NEED TO RISK LIVING!
