Out of revenge, Temer plans to "nationalize" JBS.
It's always worth remembering that the government recently launched a program to privatize 57 state-owned companies, under the guise of streamlining the public sector. Therefore, it is presumed that Temer is committing impropriety by seeking personal satisfaction, a form of revenge, using his presidential office to "nationalize" JBS.
The vindictive, contradictory, and corrupt government of Michel Temer (PMDB) may "nationalize" JBS. The government, which owns 21% of the company, now claims that Joesley and Wesley are partners in JBS, not owners. The Batista brothers own 41% of JBS's shares, but this does not prevent the government from attempting to take control of the holding company.
"The exemplary punishment of individuals (CPF) cannot be confused with punishment of companies (CNPJ)," the president of BNDES, Paulo Rabello de Castro, who owns 21% of the company's share capital on behalf of the government, told Folha.
The Temer government's discourse revolves around the need for "establishing professional governance" at JBS following the arrests of Wesley and Joesley. (They were arrested precisely because they denounced the PSDB and Temer in their respective plea bargains).
The attempt to take control of JBS, if it succeeds, will not only be contradictory, but will also sound like yet another vendetta by Michel Temer and his cronies — also referred to by the Attorney General's Office as the PMDB's "gang."
