Leaders of the Liberal Party (PL) acknowledge that the bill concerning amnesty should be referred to a special committee. Despite pressure to vote on an urgency request and expedite the matter's progress in the Plenary, allies of Hugo Motta believe that the Speaker of the House should prioritize debating the issue in a specific committee. The establishment of the Committee depends on the Speaker's decision and the appointment of members by party leaders. If this alternative is adopted, deputies enthusiastic about the agenda recognize that the issue may lose momentum. The expectation is that, as a result, the vote will only take place at the end of the semester.
