The São Paulo group Rag Tongue just launched a new single which promises to win over humor fans. Titled PaschalThe song is a tribute to "Concheta's grandfather," an Italian who left his homeland to live in Brazil and ends up experiencing various unusual situations in São Paulo.

Authored by this abuser of Olivetti Lettera and conductor Wagner Amorosino, Paschal It promises to elicit many laughs from the audience. The members of Língua de Trapo say that the song was initially planned to be part of the group's most recent album. The last CD from Earth (2016), but it ended up being stopped at customs in the port of Santos upon arrival. grandpaLuckily, Pasquale's suitcase of clothes and salami were released. For that reason, only now... single It will be known by everyone.

The official launch of Paschal It happened on April 11th, and the song is already available on all digital platforms. The choice of date was not by chance: it is a tribute to the birthday of the poet Juó Bananére, a pseudonym used by Alexandre Ribeiro Marcondes Machado to create literary works in the dialect spoken by the Italian community of Brás, Bexiga, and Barra Funda in the early 20th century.

Now how single PaschalThe group returns to explore São Paulo's Italian roots in a song that contains all the irony and critical spirit present in Língua de Trapo.

Here are the lyrics to sing along to:

PASQUALE

Io me chiamo Vitorio Pasquale

Di Roma io sonno naturale

But don't worry about this bambino

Io sono questo ragazzo cretin

La mia mamma screamed: “imbecile”!

Stay in Italy, don't go to Brazil

Ma io, questo maledeto mulo

I traveled to the rest of my country

Chorus: oggi oglio migna crassia suciale

I say: you're a fool, Pasquale (2 times)

Mio San Genaro, seventeen years ago

From my grandfather to my cousin ereoplani

Chi'stô in this country insgugliambado

Unconditionally defeated!

I started in Pegna, making some bicco

I giurava che ia ficá ricco

Sognava andá di becca i gollarigno

I have an argument to spend in xoppigno

Refrao...

Entô abri una casa di massa

But then a misfortune happened

Servi una sardela vaggabunda

I covered almost all of Barra Funda

On the day I left prison

Un drombadigne me paso a mó

Perch'io was dead in this confusion

Si na Itália é maise migliore di bó?

Refrao...
