Those blinded and deafened by domination perceive nothing.

The pretexts for the coup in favor of United States interests are only likely to grow.

I frequently, almost desperately, expose to my students, in my lectures and sermons to my communities, the cruel reality we live in Brazil and in the world. The strategy of overthrowing nationalist, democratic, popular, and progressive governments is concrete and already underway by the United States to intimidate and embarrass us.

A few days ago I showed, with satellite photos and documentary evidence, the disrespectful significance of the presence of a powerful ship from the United States Fourth Fleet patrolling the seas off Brazil.

This naval force could consist of 22 ships (thirteen missile frigates, four missile cruisers, four missile destroyers, and one hospital ship). This is a veritable army threatening and constraining the sovereignty of our country and other Latin American countries.

However, I am saddened when I see in the classrooms and auditoriums where I speak, people drugged by ignorance and media manipulation, who still laugh like muddy hyenas, disdaining and doubting the intentions of the enemy, the saboteur and thief from the north.

These ignorant people think that such information is something produced by the left, which has nothing better to do.

Every now and then I leave WhatsApp groups, very disappointed, with people who claim to be teachers but are actually right-wing and cruelly supportive of American terrorism that uses the media, religion, education, and everything else it can to blindly and insensitively deafen people to the plots of invasions and wars in Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil in the medium term. There are already predictions that a civil war will break out here between those who defend the country and those who want to hand it over to the destructive madness of the United States.

I came across, and am sharing here, a news report from a reliable source stating that the United States has already begun deploying troops in Peru, right next to Brazil. The purpose is to target Bolivia, which is increasingly advancing along the path of social justice under the great Indigenous President Evo Morales, and Venezuela, the land of the Bolivarian revolution initiated by the heroic Hugo Chávez and presided over by Nicolás Maduro, which is already preparing for civil war.

Just as they did in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria, even creating the monstrous Islamic State, the United States clearly intends to turn Latin America into a sea of blood to steal our oil, our gas, and our Amazon, which is already being mapped. Evidently, Brazil is their primary target.

The journalist Gustavo Espinoza M., a contributor to the magazine Diálogos do Sul in Lima, Peru, is the one who details the imperialist and murderous strategy that has already deployed military personnel to that Latin American country to train them for the purpose I described above.

Gustavo brilliantly asserts that “It doesn't take much insight to guess that behind the recently denounced Chilean "espionage operation" against Peru lies the reverse side of the Yankee intelligence services, which could easily orchestrate operations of this or any other magnitude, even without the knowledge of governments, taking advantage of the infiltration of the secret services they manipulate.

The advice given by the journalist from Revista Diálogos do Sul is the same advice that encourages me: "It is up to the peoples of our continent to act with firmness and the necessary consistency in a circumstance where what is at stake is the survival of the continent, assaulted by imperialist barbarity."

Espinozza continues: “In the early 1930s, in a different context and under different conditions, Augusto Cezar Sandino categorically stated: 'The sovereignty of states is not up for debate. It is defended with weapons in hand.'” (Diálogos do Sul Magazine, February 28, 2015).

Regarding Gustavo's advice, it's worth returning to the same subject until it happens: the crisis that has cornered the Dilma government can no longer wait for the President's initiative. Political and social forces must take to Brasília and the streets of Brazil to defend our threatened democracy and the sovereignty of our country.

The pretexts for the coup in favor of United States interests are only likely to grow.

When Lula was locked in the Planalto Palace by the reactionaries and practically awaited impeachment under the sway of scandals generated by the fake mensalão (monthly allowance scandal) staged by "his" Joaquim Barbosa and the lying, coup-supporting media, the workers and the people rallied to him and roused him from his immobility. Thanks to this, in his second term, the President pushed Brazil towards development with undeniable income distribution. From then on, the sell-out and coup-supporting opposition fell silent, without an agenda or a plan.

President Dilma is mistakenly trapped in a dangerous immobility. The people must free her from this atavism, as recommended by the fearless José Pedro Stédile, leader of the Landless Workers' Movement.

As for the blind and deaf, the fruits of the ideological "sanctification" from which they are made in their alienated families and by the cesspool media, which makes them so brutally angry, hateful, gossipy, slanderous, and irrational, it is likely that some will be moved and sensitized by the honest conscience of defending our national interests and will side with the people when the temperature rises; others will become openly traitorous, serving the enemies, even collaborating with them to eliminate their Brazilian brothers and help them rob us.
