Supporters embarrassed by Trump's aggression against Brazil
Either you stand on the side of Brazilian sovereignty against the attacks of the Trump administration, or you side with traitors to the nation.
1) There is no middle ground, nor room for hesitation, at the current historical crossroads. Either one stands on the side of Brazilian sovereignty against the attacks of the Trump administration, or one sides with traitors to the nation, such as the Bolsonaro clan and supporters of the far right who applaud the actions of the fascist delinquent who presides over the United States.
2) Commercial media professionals who stoop to the level of blaming Lula for the lack of negotiations with the United States, turning the victim into the aggressor, are acting in bad faith and out of inferiority complex. They know that Trump would only agree to negotiate if Brazil submitted to the blackmail of granting amnesty to Bolsonaro and humiliatingly renouncing its status as a sovereign nation.
3) All analyses that sugarcoat and legitimize the absurd US sanctions against Brazilian authorities, and fail to denounce their violation of international law and basic rules of coexistence between nations on the international stage, are compromised.
4) Brazil is a country that respects multilateralism, works for and cherishes peace, and is faithful to the principle of non-interference in the affairs of other countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains a long and successful tradition of relying on diplomacy as an instrument for resolving impasses and conflicts. To say that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has failed in its mission to unlock negotiation channels with the US is a despicable act by those who, deep down, want Brazil to submit.
5) Media groups, business associations, and banks are unable to envision life outside the economic, political, military, and cultural orbit of the US and are already pressuring for Brazil's surrender. They have always frowned upon BRICS and the strengthening of the Global South in the geopolitical sphere.
6) Acting as a fifth column are the politicians who, in a vile and unpatriotic manner, see the crisis as an opportunity to undermine the PT government. Bad Brazilians, they are incapable of setting aside the greater interests of the country in their electoral calculations.
7) They are not credible because they omit a crucial point: analyses of US sanctions and aggressions that fail to consider the profile of their author, President Donald Trump, a notorious liar, manipulator, scoundrel, without any democratic convictions, and accused of various crimes that remain unpunished only because the bizarre US legislation lets presidents off the hook.
8) It's nauseating to see polls like the one released by Datafolha this Saturday. Tailor-made to target President Lula and spare Bolsonaro, it had the audacity to include Lula among the alternatives in the question about who is to blame for the tariff hikes. Lula, his government, and Brazil are the targets of the attacks and should never have been among the options in this prompted poll. I'm curious to know how Datafolha formulated this question. It's not even a poll, but rather a fraudulent and blatant political manipulation.
