The developments stemming from the operation carried out today by the São Paulo Civil Police, targeting former governor Márcio França, will indicate whether his candidacy for governor of São Paulo has been affected.
If the investigation doesn't move forward, nothing changes.
But if new information comes to light and he continues to come under attack, it's not impossible that he might have to give up later on, to get out of the spotlight, perhaps even at the suggestion of the PSB itself.
This could clear the way for Haddad to be supported by the PSB for governor of São Paulo, within the national alliance with the PT.
