Thank you, right-wingers, for blocking PEC 55.

The major newspapers empowered the right-wingers on Monday (5) by stating that “one day after the demonstrations”, Renan Calheiros (PMDB-AL) was removed from the presidency of the Senate.

God writes straight with crooked lines, as the saying goes. Nothing could be truer for the turbulent political situation in Brazil.

The major newspapers empowered the right-wingers this Monday (5) by stating that “one day after the demonstrations”, Renan Calheiros (PMDB-AL) was removed from the presidency of the Senate.

In this post, I will not go into the merits of the fall of the PMDB member. However, I will praise the suspension of the unpatriotic agenda in the Senate, due to the "collateral effect" of the dispute between powers (legislative x judiciary x executive).

Senator Jorge Viana (PT-AC), who will assume the presidency, has already stated that he will not put PEC 55 to a vote, which criminally freezes investments in health and education for the next 20 years.

Therefore, if the "coxinhas" (a derogatory term for right-wingers) really did bring down Renan, as they believe and the mainstream media would have them believe, then all that remains is for us to thank them for blocking PEC 55.

God writes straight with crooked lines.

Now all that's left is for the Workers' Party (PT) to approve the early holding of direct elections for President of the Republic in the National Congress.
