Jair Bolsonaro's real plan
"Give me 50% of the Chamber of Deputies and 50% of the Senate, and I will change the destiny of Brazil."
The phrase, written by the semi-literate former president of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, if he were addressing a specific person, could use the verb "give" in the singular. However, since – certainly – he is addressing society as a whole, from whom he hopes to obtain votes for this latest "adventure" (or malevolent plan, if you prefer), it would necessarily have to be in the plural: "give me".
I bet he chose the singular form out of fear of using the plural, because he must have missed that class and didn't know how to correctly spell what was on his mind. "Give it to me" was difficult for him.
Beyond his spelling mistakes, Bolsonaro refuses to leave the scene. And the scene (media) pursues him, stubbornly insisting on keeping him not only in the polls for 2026 – while we all know that until any legal measure to the contrary, he is and will remain INELIGIBLE. He keeps sneaking through whatever loopholes he can to keep his "me first" policy alive.
From where he is – the hospital, of course, his preferred spa for when things get tough – Jair follows the unfolding events on the international stage and positions himself. In the wrong way, of course. He applauds the aggressors against the victim, because he doesn't understand a thing about the UN charter and its recommendations for keeping the world more or less in order. And, by commenting against Brazil's position, already made explicit in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he takes the opportunity to send his message to the domestic audience as well.
The above phrase is from one of your posts on X, which was refuted by the Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann.
And what did he really mean by that? That, yes, he will not give up his position as a pre-candidate for the PL party, although the president, Valdemar Costa Neto, has other plans. He dreams of the day when he can announce the ticket that the media already seems to have embraced, regardless of what that may mean for the future of the country. Tarcísio de Freitas, the radical of the far right, the disseminator of civic-military schools, the privatizer, the one who created the "factoid" of an attack during his campaign for the government of São Paulo, resulting in a death in Paraisópolis, an obscure and archived crime.
He himself, who on election day for mayor of São Paulo, accused his opponent, candidate Boulos, of being linked to the PCC (First Command of the Capital, a Brazilian criminal organization), without presenting any evidence. And what happened? Nothing. Because Tarcísio is the golden goose for commentators who dream every day of a name that will "refresh" politics.
What they don't mention is that his customs, his stance towards the world, are the same as or worse than Bolsonaro's. Perhaps even more dangerous, because he's wrapped in shiny paper, with a reasonable presentation. Come to think of it, in his last appearance he was actually wrapped in the flag of the country that is decimating Gaza, killing and mutilating children and women.
Yes! The ticket! It's important to talk about the ticket. As his running mate, the media has already determined that Michelle – yes, with two L's – the one who drowned the carp in the Alvorada Palace lake to collect every last cent before embarking on a trip to visit designer stores in Miami, in the twilight of her husband's government, is the name.
And what does Jair Bolsonaro do, besides posting on X, with all his limitations in his native language? He devises escape routes. Not necessarily through some embassy, as he tried during Carnival. He knows that prison awaits him. He knows that ineligibility is inevitable, so he invents.
He plans to push through to the last hurdle, claiming to be a candidate, but what he really wants is to execute the strategy contained in the sentence above – even if his Portuguese is faltering. When the Supreme Court and the Superior Electoral Court tell him that it's absolutely impossible, he will have toured the entire country doing what we should already be rehearsing: preaching the need for a majority in Congress. Representatives who vote for projects of interest to the far-right, and senators with the power to draft impeachment proposals against Supreme Court justices.
That's his real plan. To hinder everyone who puts themselves forward as candidates for the PL party, but to spread as many Nikolas as possible in the Chamber of Deputies. With religious appeals, for family, for country! As for the Senate, he will try to elect those who will avenge him! Watch out, Alexandre de Moraes and Flávio Dino! Hahaha.
