The specter of impeachment looms over Temer.

Requests for the impeachment of the illegitimate Michel Temer (PMDB) are piling up. This Thursday (8), civil society organizations such as MST, CUT, UNE, MTST, among others, as well as jurists and intellectuals, filed another impeachment request based on a crime of responsibility.

Last week, PSOL filed the first impeachment process, the content of which is the same as today's: the PMDB member engaged in influence peddling and administrative misconduct, therefore committing a crime of responsibility to favor former minister Geddel Vieira Lima.

There is also another impeachment process underway in the Chamber of Deputies, requested by lawyer Mariel Marley Marra in April of this year. However, the Speaker of the House, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), objected to the decision by Supreme Court Justice Marco Aurélio Mello to appoint the members of said impeachment committee.

Temer's impeachment petition has been filed.

Representatives of social movements filed a request for the impeachment of the illegitimate president Michel Temer in the Chamber of Deputies this Thursday (8). The document is signed by civil society organizations, such as MST, CUT, UNE, MTST, among others, as well as jurists.

According to the authors of the text, Temer committed a crime of responsibility when he failed to take action against the then Minister of the Government Secretariat, Geddel Vieira Lima (PMDB-BA), when the latter pressured the then Minister of Culture, Marcelo Calero, to authorize, through an intervention in the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan), the construction of a building in an area adjacent to listed buildings in Salvador.

The impeachment request is legally based on articles 85 and 86 of the Federal Constitution, which deal with crimes of responsibility and the removal of the President of the Republic, respectively, and on Law 1079/50 (the impeachment law).

Opposition members of Congress participated in the demonstration, but no member of the Board of Directors received the group of more than 50 people who positioned themselves in President Rodrigo Maia's office, in front of the empty chair.
