(New) Open letter to the Supreme Federal Court
How can we trust this institution? How can we respect them if they don't earn it? How can we respect their infamous robes if they choose social chaos and public disorder? How can we believe in a den of coup plotters that has always supported the dark side, such as the "constitutional cover" for the 1964 and 2016 coups?
Dear Justices of the Supreme Federal Court,
The person writing here again is not just a professor and biologist. Above all, the one spending their time here is a truly Brazilian and democratic citizen, tired of passively witnessing all the barbarity being committed against our country under your leadership.
It is appalling the blatant positions that this hovel, I mean Court, has taken. Never has the phrase of the "grand national agreement" been so clear: "With the Supreme Court, with everything."
Those who should be safeguarding order and respect for the Constitution simply ignore it and outrageously and criminally violate each of its directives.
The question remains: why?
From the coup against the legitimate president of this country to the present day, with the arbitrary imprisonment of former president Lula, what have they done? Even without any evidence against Dilma, have they annulled the impeachment and allowed a return to democratic order? No. Have they taken a stand against the unconstitutionality of the imprisonment of Brazil's greatest leader, recognized and defended worldwide? No.
In Portugal, as you may know, Minister Celso de Mello stated in plain Portuguese – in a way that any Portuguese, Brazilian, and law-abiding citizen could understand: "Lula's imprisonment is illegal and violates the Constitution."
Well then. He said what we've been shouting for ages. He said what the world is denouncing. And I ask another question: what are the esteemed dean and his cronies doing about this latest affront? It is up to each of you, pompous Excellencies, to take the correct action and annul this arbitrary act, isn't it? Or are you complicit in the deal?
Incidentally, why did the esteemed Minister Edson Fachin, with astonishing speed, decide to remove the vote on Lula's request for release from the agenda? Curiously, on the same day that he dismissed one of the investigations against the illegitimate President Temer. Even more curious – and what a beautiful coincidence! – is that the day before, Temer, Maia, and Aécio had met unofficially, while most of the population remained engrossed in the World Cup and the national team of the corrupt CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation).
Minister Fachin, who threatened him? Was it the same "fear of flying" that claimed the life of his colleague Teori Zavascky, just when "immaculate politicians" were about to be denounced? Or even the fear of dying "by suicide," as happened to civil police officer Lucas Arcanjo? Is it possible that the "crime of passion" that eliminated model Cristiana Ferreira crossed his mind?
And so, this same esteemed minister was responsible for releasing Temer's "bagman," Rocha Loures. How about that?
And look at this coincidence – yet another one!: while the accusations converge on Aécio Neves and his PSDB gang and coup-plotting allies from the (P)MDB, what does the Supreme Court do? It shelves the investigations and exonerates them of any crime... after all, the PSDB bigwigs understand "holiness," don't they?
In what serious country is this possible? Is it out of fear of the testimonies of those under investigation who promised to expose the moralistic celibacy of the Supreme Court? Fear that society will confirm the "grand deal"? Fear that the masks of "impartiality" of Cármen Lúcia (and the spell checker insists on typing Lucifer) and Gilmar Mendes will finally fall with the JBS testimonies? Come on...
How can we trust this institution? How can we respect them if they don't earn it? How can we respect their infamous robes if they choose social chaos and public disorder? How can we believe in a den of coup plotters that has always supported the dark side, such as the "constitutional cover" for the 1964 and 2016 coups?
It's impossible not to remember and think that, in times past, during true revolutions, the guillotine spoke louder to punish the powerful conspirators and traitors of the nation. Oh, if only it were today! At least they would think twice before screwing over the people and our nation with outlandish rhetoric and abusively stratospheric salaries!
Honestly, I even believed that Justice was blind and impartial, but thanks to scoundrels like you, all I can do is believe in the power of the people! And that the population truly wakes up, gets out from behind their computers and hashtags, promotes civil disobedience, promotes a true revolution, and demands the only real Justice. Only then will we have order and democracy back.
Sooner or later this will happen. As for you, Most Worthy and Illustrious Magistrates and Excellencies, history will reveal the facts, and your names will be eternally recorded and marked as COUP PLOTTERS!
