The North and Northeast regions, without a Ministry, could defeat Bolsonaro.

The president, who lost decisively in the Northeast to the opposition led by Fernando Haddad, supported by Lula, is said to have retaliated; he politically marginalized the region, which, throughout the New Republic, had gained significant relative weight, especially during the Workers' Party governments.

The federal issue promises to stir up the dispute for the presidencies of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, against the backdrop of the formation of the Bolsonaro Ministry. 

The most relevant fact in this context is the absence, for the first time in the Republic, of any representative from the North and Northeast regions in the top tier of government, which includes 11 members from the Southeast, 8 from the South, 2 from the Central-West, and 1 Colombian.

The poor population of the Northeast, transformed into consumers through social programs that distributed income and increased purchasing power of wages, expressed their gratitude in the form of votes.

Consequently, the PT attracted the PMDB of the colonels, becoming an unbeatable force.
