In desperation, Bolsonaro sets a trap and asks to be arrested.

"Arresting Bolsonaro soon after his return to Brazil could be a trap set by the far right itself," opines Moisés Mendes.

After the damage done by Alexandre de Moraes's crackdown, with the arrest warrants against a PM colonel and a Federal Police delegate, a doubt is amplified.

This is no ordinary dilemma. It attempts to bring to a head the gains and losses from Bolsonaro's potential imprisonment.

Temptation is a trap. Being caught may be the fugitive's last chance to have an ending that, in his delusions, he considers heroic.

Bolsonaro has fled and is degrading himself every day. He is weakened morally, politically, and physically.

In a few days, he will only be the leader of his children, because even the fools will abandon him, after having been abandoned themselves.

Arresting Bolsonaro soon after his return to Brazil could be a trap set by the far right itself.

What would the war against fascism gain by having Bolsonaro imprisoned, if he might no longer be able to lead anything and could be surrounded and arrested later, at the right time?

What matters today is containing the powerful figures who have always supported the structure built around Bolsonaro. And they are not the ones who rented buses for the invasion of Brasília.

They are not the owners of small farms and small shops in Mato Grosso, steakhouses in São Paulo, or metalworking shops in Goiás.

These individuals must be apprehended as criminal financiers of Sunday's terrorist actions, even if they never show their faces.

But the financier of Bolsonaro's scheme, even before the 2018 election, is not this patriot from the middle hierarchy.

The financier is the big, clueless guy who has been defying the Supreme Court and the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) for years. The millionaire big shot who supported Bolsonaro's parallel power structure and still supports the local bigwig has expertise.

He was surrounded, he escaped, he acted again, he retreated, and today he even presents himself among the repentant.

It doesn't use PIX because it's above that kind of low-level stuff, and it relies on dozens of operators with no direct connection to it to do the dirty work.

The local politician covers his tracks and keeps escaping, while Moraes orders the arrest of Colonel Fabio Augusto Vieira, former commander of the Federal District Military Police. The minister is about to imprison the first high-ranking military officer.

Shortly after, he ordered the arrest of the former Minister of Justice and former Secretary of Security of the Federal District, Anderson Torres. He's going to arrest a Federal Police delegate.

But we still need to send the first historical and high-ranking civilian of Bolsonarism to prison.

Amateur and professional fools and patriots arrested for terrorist acts in Brasília were pushed into delinquency by the environment created by Bolsonaro with the support of the military.

This environment, with its hate cabinet, fake news factory, and digital militias, wouldn't exist without the help of people with money from outside the government.

People who were involved in coup-mongering against Dilma, who helped orchestrate Lula's imprisonment, disrupted the 2018 election, and tried to sabotage last year's election. Alexandre de Moraes knows them all, and he knows the fascist even better.

No one is urging the minister to rush things. But Brazil knows that at some point, at the right time, he will confront the fascist who has been challenging him for years.

Containing the unpunished fascist, who always escapes the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Justice system, is more important today, as an exemplary action, than catching any other extremist.

The arrest of the fascist would be crucial to rid the fascist bitch of her rut. The fascist is the big dog, Bolsonaro's guard dog.

Forget about Bolsonaro, he'll fall later, and focus on the local guy.

But don't wait too long to get that fascist fool out of his impunity holiday camp, or he'll get away with it again.
