The political world is back.
"It must be considered that the release of the October inflation figures contributed significantly to the market shock, not just Lula's words."
Imperfect world, but back again. I even felt the Estadão editorial titled "The new government and the value of the Federation" was a vote of confidence in the president-elect. I congratulated the newspaper. Very good! We are beginning to understand better what has been lost in terms of the country's constitution in recent years when we now see promising alternatives for returning to the status of a Nation. But, since the comment wasn't published, perhaps it was just my enthusiasm.
The mainstream newspaper might even swallow the bearded toad, but it will do so with all reservations, not admitting any economic solution by portraying the people as an investment and not an expense. Let's remember the market reaction even during the elections. It must be considered that the release of October's inflation figures contributed significantly to the market shock, not just Lula's words. In any case, the president-elect hasn't even taken office yet and already has much more influence than the reclusive president. Furthermore, it's a matter of knowing what economic policy will actually be implemented, not just transitional speeches, since there hasn't even been a decision on the ministerial team yet.
In this matter, beyond the business political issues exposed in the opinion piece, representatives of Fiesp (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo) should be more attentive to what will happen in São Paulo if the absorption of the Bolsonaro legacy from Brasília by the Rio de Janeiro state government that will be installed here is realized. If Paulo Guedes is confirmed in the cabinet, São Paulo's industry will suffer the same ills as the disastrous economic management of someone who knew nothing about the real Brazil.
Because of these factors, and the behavior of groups detached from reality prostrate at the gates of military barracks, one cannot be optimistic that Bolsonarism is a dying sect, even though politics is back in everyday life. Columnists even joke about finding a good rhyme for "patriot," but proto-fascism was installed here under another name, and history teaches us that everything evil that is not properly eradicated tends to regenerate. Therefore, there is a danger that the rhyme will be with the groundhog from the famous film, whose day repeats itself indefinitely, no longer as farce, but as tragedy.
