Lula should reinforce his security.

It is unlikely to claim that all the groups of coup-plotting rioters – some quite numerous – disguised in CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) shirts and Brazilian flags, who caused chaos on important federal highways from North to South, blocking them since Monday, October 30th, are extremists. It is possible to believe that they are more of a manipulated, fanatical mass, encouraged to abandon their lives to promote chaos and expose themselves in horrific scenes, which have been repeating themselves in this country since Bolsonaro gained prominence.

Certainly, there are far-right, Nazi-fascist, terrorist cells among these lobotomized coup plotters, whose objective is to annul the election or prevent the president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from taking office in the highest office of the Republic, in the Palácio do Planalto. Obviously, there is a feverish desire to see bizarre things, such as the imprisonment or impeachment of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) minister, Alexandre de Moraes, the closure of the STF and the National Congress themselves, "military intervention with Bolsonaro," the return of AI-5, among other madness.

But even though the vast majority of these coup-plotting troublemakers are not, in fact, fascists and Nazis, agents of the extreme right – because there is no ideological foundation whatsoever in the minds of such fanatics. They don't even know what right and left, communism, socialism, capitalism, social democracy, fascism or Nazism, etc., are. Even if they are nothing more than puppets, the events of this week have indeed confirmed suspicions that there is a well-funded, well-organized and very dangerous right-wing extremism.

"Fake myth"

It is advisable not to underestimate them, as they are driven by a boundless hatred against Lula, the PT (Workers' Party), women, Black people, Indigenous people, the poor, and so many other oppressed segments of the population in every sense of the word in Brazil, a country that still flirts with the possibility of barbarism, despite having been halted by Lula's apotheosis. With the defeat of their sham "myth" now complete—he failed to be re-elected and will be removed from power—the focus of Bolsonaro supporters seems to be now on preventing Lula from assuming full control of the Brazilian state.

And now, with greater intensity than during the electoral process, there is a growing concern – and why not say: fear – regarding the safety, health, physical integrity, in short, the life of President Lula. These are people eternally dissatisfied with seeing him as President of the Republic. Completely unscrupulous, they may attempt to take Lula's life in these two months remaining until what promises to be the historic and glorious day of January 1st, 2023. Yes, there are indications of this: screenshots of WhatsApp conversations planning to hire a sniper.

For those who don't know, a sniper is a shooter specialized in hitting targets more than a kilometer away. And, according to the screenshots, whose authenticity has not yet been verified, businessmen are pooling money to hire such a sniper, who would be given the mission of hitting the PT member in the head. The statements of the former Formula 1 driver, Nelson Piquet – a true fascist – wishing for Lula's death, reinforce the impression that there seems to be a fixed idea of physically eliminating him. It's time to sound the yellow alert at the PT.
