Haddad, Dino, and Boulos will participate in an event with the undead, coup plotters, and puppets of the military dictatorship.

Once again, Lula is right not to join forces with FHC, Sarney, Ciro, Temer, and Marina. The sole purpose of the event on the 26th will be to bring back to the political scene the undead, with electoral intentions for 2020 and 2022.

Flávio Dino and Luciano Huck

"Virtual event brings together FHC, Sarney, Temer, Haddad and Boulos and is compared to Diretas Já" It's the call of the con artist. Folha de S. Paul, celebrating the announcement of an event on Friday the 26th, which “will represent the strongest union yet of pro-democracy movements and, consequently, of opposition to Bolsonaroism”. In addition to those mentioned, the president of the PSDB, Bruno Araújo, Ciro Gomes (PDT), Marina Silva (Rede), the governor of Maranhão, Flávio Dino (PCdoB), and Globo employee Luciano Huck will also participate.

In another article Published in Brasil 247, I demonstrated how "the Broad Front with sectors of the right in the 'Diretas Já' campaign only served as a political maneuver to maintain the same oligarchies that reigned during the Military Dictatorship in control of the new 'civilian' government." Therefore, I will not go back into the problem of celebrating this comparison as if it were something good, as Guilherme Boulos (PSOL) and Folha do.

But it's important to point out that, in this case as well, the Broad Front is once again being formed with the most retrograde and reactionary sectors of Brazilian politics. Now, they're all piled together. If, during the "Diretas Já" movement, the left gave political capital to an indirectly elected government that put a lackey of the military dictatorship, like José Sarney, in power; currently, the left wants to form an alliance with sectors that favor "Bolsonaro Stays" (a topic I've also addressed in [previous article]). article previous).

However, this time, this "more robust union" decided to unite the reactionaries of the past with the reactionaries of the present. Sarney, who was fundamental in giving a "civilian" air to the military regime, while maintaining the privileges of the same monopolies and oligarchies, now joins forces with those responsible for Jair Bolsonaro, the PSDB, Marina Silva, and the usurper Michel Temer, of the MDB, who defended the impeachment of Dilma and the persecution of Lula (the two main pillars of the coup).

Moreover, the MDB is back… the same political party that feigned opposition to the military and became an important instrument of the bourgeoisie to carry out the maneuver of indirect elections while gaining political capital from popular organizations in the “Diretas Já” campaign.

In other words, it seems to me that this is the same political sector from the time of the military dictatorship (Sarney and MDB), reunited with the political sector that resulted from the dictatorship, neoliberalism (PSDB, FHC, Marina and Ciro), seeking, through the left (Fernando Haddad, Guilherme Boulos and Flávio Dino), to recover the political capital they lost with the polarization, which radicalized both the left and the right in the sense of sidelining the more traditional sectors of the bourgeoisie.

What Haddad, Boulos, and Dino are doing, by participating in an event with the reactionaries of Brazilian politics, is a revival of bankrupt political parties and sectors that (besides not having the popular support to unite) are not even useful from the electoral point of view of the bourgeois regime, which opted for Bolsonaroism in 2018.

And in fact, the sole purpose of the event on the 26th will be to bring back to the political scene veritable corpses (or rather: the living dead), with electoral intentions in 2020 and, mainly, in 2022. It's no longer possible to lie, as Folha does, saying that it's a movement against Bolsonaro, since the PSDB and PDT have already shown themselves to be against the impeachment of the fascist – let alone new elections… I won't even comment on Temer and Sarney.

At this moment, the coup-plotting bourgeoisie (who supported him) doesn't want to remove Bolsonaro, as it would be a very risky maneuver. Eventually, with significant popular pressure and an even greater political crisis, they might seek some trick to depose him, but maintaining the general principles of their policies. What the "democratic" coup plotters (if that's what they call themselves) want is to keep Bolsonaro in power and gradually weaken the government in order to – through political deceptions with the approval of the Haddads, the Boulos, and the Dinos – gain political capital and emerge victorious in the elections. In this way, they maintain the coup's policies without the (currently) "inconvenient" characters: the militia family and the followers of Olavo de Carvalho.

Once again, Lula, who was invited, is right not to join.
