Freire Gomes becomes a de facto military leader for preventing a coup and strengthening democracy.

If the coup had been carried out with the support of General Gomes, where would Brazil be at this moment, given the fascist positions defended by the dictator?

General Freire Gomes, if everything he is saying is true, is the military professional who will achieve glory, a triumph of few throughout history, for having contributed decisively to the strengthening of democracy.

In this sense, he became a political-military leader, a decisive factor in preserving democratic institutions.

He created a political foundation of credibility within military institutions by not succumbing to internal power pressures where a particular group attempts to impose its political will beyond the established institutions, etc.

He spoke out when they tried to recruit him.

He retreated and kept his political triumph until the moment he was summoned by the justice system to tell the truth or be condemned if he lied.

The full content of General Gomes' statements, whether strong or moderate, is still unknown, but the fact is that he did not participate in the plot to stage a coup against democracy, denying instructions from his superior.

He is protected by civic morality, which supports his positions in defense of the democratic rule of law.

SINISTER ASSUMPTIONS - If the coup had been carried out with the support of General Gomes, where would Brazil be at this moment, given the fascist positions defended by the dictator?

The political agenda would be war.

Political tensions were reportedly running high, with Bolsonaro teaming up with Milei to support Trump's candidacy for the White House.

If the coup had come with the approval of General Freire Gomes, with the same intensity as that given by the autocratic General Paulo Sérgio of the Ministry of Defense in supporting the military uprising, dictatorial governance would have been the order of the day.

The implementation of ultra-neoliberal negation, by force and violence, would be accelerating denationalization and dollarization, following the lead of Miles-Washington.

The level of political tension would accelerate political polarization with the institutional advancement of economic and financial Nazi-fascism, in contrast to what is happening with Lula, who is accelerating the democratization of institutions and the national call for dialogue and unity to pursue economic development with income distribution.

Freire Gomes, therefore, wrote his page in history and became a new de facto military leader, seen as that politically incorruptible professional who decisively contributes to the advancement of democratic institutions as a balancing factor.
